Dashboard Pages enable you to create several pages within one dashboard.
Dashboard Pages can be useful, as you can can create dashboards with several pages. Each page of a dashboard can provide different insights and there is no need to create several dashboards for one report. This means users can now create reports with multiple views and the amount of dashboards can therefore be reduced.
HOW TO USE DASHBOARD PAGES
To create a new Page within a Dashboard, users have two possibilites:
- After creating a new dashboard, navigate to the “Add”-drop down menu in the upper right corner and Click on “Page”.
A new page will be created. You can access it by clicking the page-number via page tab bar in the upper right corner.
- Create a new Widget in Explore and click the "Add" button to add the widget to a dashboard. You are now provided with the possibilty to either add it to an existing page or create a new page within an already existing dashboard.
HOW TO MOVE WIDGETS FROM ONE PAGE TO ANOTHER
Users can quickly move one widget to another page, by using the "Move" button from the widget context menu.
After clicking the symbol, users are provided with the possibility of choosing which page the widget should be moved to.
USER RIGHTS
If dashboards are shared with users, users can access every page attached to the shared dashboard. Additionally, hyperlinks of dashboards also contain information about the page. This enables users to quickly send specific pages of dashboards to other users.
SEGMENTS FOR DASHBOARD PAGES
Users can open "Edit" drop down menu in the upper right corner on every dashboard to access filtering possibilites.
Users are provided with two different hierarchies for filtering their dashboards on certain dimensions:
-Dashboard Segments (Category Dashboard) - this affects the entire dashboard
-Change Dimension Filter for all explore Widgets (Category Page) - this affects only one page
When combining two filters of two hierarchy levels, the filtering will be based on an OR-logic.
MANAGE DASHBOARD PAGES
Users can access a modal to clone, reorganize, rename or delete pages by clicking on "Pages" next to the index of pages:
This can be also accessed via the "Edit"-drop down.
By clicking on "Edit" the following modal will pop up:
