"Media Screenshots" is a section formerly just known as “Screenshots”. It represents a gallery of creatives Screenshots that Adverity generated via fetches from advertising platforms, such as Facebook Ads and Twitter Ads.
How long will these screenshots be saved in Adverity?
As long as your connection is operational.
I just ran Media Screenshot collection, and it returned 81 screenshots. If I were to run the process again, will it also return another 81 screenshots? Will it duplicate or overwrite existing Screenshots?
One screenshot is captured per ID, and existing screenshots will remain as long as the campaign they relate to exists. Therefore, existing Screenshots will be neither duplicated nor overwritten.
Can these images be accessed/downloaded via the Adverity API? What would be the best way of saving these images in an automatic fashion?
Files are stored on the Adverity Storage server. They can be downloaded by any program that has access to that Storage server.
What dimension do I need to have selected in the configuration so that Screenshots will be captured appear?
For Facebook Ads, in the Media Screenshots section of the page, in Ad Preview fields, select any field that starts with ad_preview_.
For Twitter Ads, in the Dimensions field, select the dimension tweet_id.
What string is the search bar looking up? The name of the ad or the string in the URL of the screenshot?
Searches function via the field Ad name.
How long will Screenshots be retained?
There is no fixed deletion date, Screenshots will remain indefinitely unless removed manually.
I deleted my Connection and this immediately deleted all related screenshots, is this by design?
Yes this is intentional, deleting a connection will automatically delete all related resources.
