1. Introduction
Workspace mapping helps you to import the data from a Datastream into the correct Explore Workspace. There are two possible options:
- All data to one Explore Workspace (see section 2. below).
- Data spread to various Explore Workspaces (see section 3. below).
2. All data to one Explore Workspace
- In the Connect Element, click Datastreams in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Datastream you want to configure.
- In the left-hand menu under Transfer, click Explore & Present.
- Under Workspace Mapping Type select 1 to 1 Mapping.
- Click Explore & Present Workspace: drop-down menu, select the Explore & Present Workspace to which you want to send data.
3. Data spread to various Explore Workspaces
- In the Connect element, click Datastreams in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Datastream you want to configure.
- In the left-hand menu under Transfer, click Explore & Present.
- Under Workspace Mapping Type select 1 to many Mapping.
- In the Mapping Column drop-down menu choose a column from the Data Extract. All Data Extracts with this column are sent to the selected Explore Workspace.
- From the Mapping Table drop-down menu, select the Workspace Mapping Table you have already created or click +Add to create a new Workspace Mapping Table (see section 3.1. Adding Workspace Mapping below for more information).
- From the Missing Action drop-down menu, select the behavior you want to use for a value in the Mapping Column that is not mapped to a Workspace.
- Missing Action drop-down menu contains three options:
- Create, stop: In case of new mapping entries, the process stops, creates a new mapping entry, and sends a notification. No data is imported until the new mapping entries are populated. Click 'retry' to continue with the process manually.
- Create, continue: In case of new mapping entries, the process creates a new mapping entry but you get no notification about it in the Datastream Overview, only through email (if enabled). Data is imported without the missing entries.
- Do Nothing: In case of new mapping entries, the process does not create a new entry and does not stop processing. Data is imported without the missing entries.
If the Datastream returns a missing Workspace mapping/Workspace ID issue and you map it afterwards, please requeue a Fetch to generate a new Data Extract to ensure the mapping starts again and it is transferred to the correct Workspace.
