Templates are a great way to quickly work with the same dashboard across multiple workspaces or different campaigns.
CREATING A NEW TEMPLATE
- From any of the Explore, Present or Reveal Elements, open the Workspace Picker and click on 'Administration'.
- In the left-hand menu, select 'Templates' , and then click '+ New Template'.
- Populate the Template with widgets and other features as desired, and the Template will then be available as the basis to create a new Dashboard.
CREATING A TEMPLATE FROM AN EXISTING DASHBOARD
- From the Present Element, open the Dashboard that you wish to use as a template.
- In the top-right corner click on the Template icon (
), then 'Create template from'.
Once created, a Template it can be seen on all of the Workspaces on the current stack.
The system will automatically name the created Template/Dashboard as below:
To rename the Template/Dashboard, simply open it, click on the title and add a new name.
ADDING A NEW DASHBOARD FROM A TEMPLATE
Once you've created a Template, you can use it to create a Dashboard. From the Present Element, click 'Create Dashboard from Template' in the top-right corner.
Select the required Template, and all of the widgets which have been created in the Template will appear in the connected Dashboard(s).
OVERWRITING DASHBOARDS CONNECTED TO A TEMPLATE
To first check which Dashboards are connected to a Template, click on the Template Icon ( ) > Show connected Dashboards.
- From any of the Explore, Present or Reveal Elements, open the Workspace Picker and click on 'Administration'.
- In the left-hand menu, select 'Templates' , and then 'Open' the template you wish to edit.
- After making whatever changes you wish to the Template, click on the Template icon (
) in the top-right corner, then 'Overwrite connected dashboards'.
DISCONNECTING DASHBOARDS FROM A TEMPLATE
You can tell whether a Dashboard is connected to a Template if this symbol can be seen next to the dashboard name (). If the Dashboard is disconnected from a Template it will still contain the widgets that were previously created, but it will no longer be updated.
To disconnect a Dashboard from a Template, open the Dashboard and click on Template ( )> Disconnect from Template.
