Adverity allows you to structure your data according to your business needs by segmenting it into Workspaces and Workspace Groups.
- Company Admin access rights are required to make changes in the navigation structure.
CREATING A WORKSPACE GROUP
Remember that a Workspace Group only represents a grouping of multiple Workspaces. No data can be stored on a Group. Any users who have access to a specific group will automatically see all Workspaces beneath it in the structure hierarchy.
- Ensure you are currently within the Workspace Group under which you want the new group to be created.
- From the Explore, Present or Reveal Element, open the Workspace Picker > Administration.
- In the left-hand menu, under Manage tree click Add Workspace Group.
- Name your new Workspace Group.
- Under Week Start, define a custom week starting date (e.g. Monday, Sunday).
- Select Create to finalize.
- The page will refresh automatically and you will see a success message.
CREATING A WORKSPACE
Remember that a Workspace will represent the individual business entity where all your imported data is stored.
- Ensure you are currently within the Workspace Group or Workspace under which you want the new Workspace to be created.
- From the Explore, Present or Reveal Element, open the Workspace Picker > Administration.
- In the left-hand menu, under Manage tree click Add Workspace.
- Name your new Workspace.
- Select the desired Currency for this Workspace.
- Under Week Start, define a custom week starting date (e.g. Monday, Sunday).
- Select Create to finalize.
- The page will refresh automatically and you will see a success message.
SHARED WORKSPACES
Data in a shared Workspace will be available to all users in Explore mode, even if they do not have the necessary rights to view the Workspace itself.
Workspace Groups cannot be shared. If you wish to share all Workspaces within a Group, each Workspace must be set to shared individually.
- From the Explore, Present or Reveal Element, open the Workspace Picker and choose the desired Workspace from the list.
- Re-open the Workspace Picker > Administration.
- In the Workspace Settings, tick the Share data? checkbox.
- Click Update to finalize.
All users in your stack will now have the possibility to view shared Workspace data in Explore, using the Button 'Additional clients'
DELETING A WORKSPACE
Be careful when deleting Workspace Groups or Workspaces, as data cannot be restored.
- From the Explore, Present or Reveal Element, open the Workspace Picker and choose the desired Workspace from the list.
- Re-open the Workspace Picker > Administration.
- In the left-hand menu, go to Delete Workspace [WORKSPACE NAME].
- Click Delete to permanently delete the Workspace.
